The report is designed to deliver a strategy for the international equitation tournament Balve Optimum International with regard to the Dutch and Belgian markets. In order to promote the event successfully on an international basis, literature has been analysed to derive assessment criteria which were applied to real-life examples, these are two main competitors of the Balve Optimum Internation-al. The confrontation of the assessment criteria with the competitors yielded the advice for the Balve Optimum International.
