Samenvatting

The thesis project "A Community of Practice, the step towards increasing study succes" is a research that aims to outline the important aspects of a Community of Practice, and the steps an educational organization in the higher education industry can take in building such a Community of Practice.
By conducting qualitative research in a multiple case study, educational organizations are interviewed on their expectations of the aspects of a Community of Practice and what has to be done to build one. This results in a recommendation for a higher education organisation to create a conduct that is only based on values. These values should be reflective of the values important for building a Community of Practice. It is expected any higher education organization can use this thesis project to start building on a Community of Practice.
