However, national legislation and enforcement of those rules by national governments, is not very present yet.” “Fifty-seven percent of these brands have published time-bound, measurable targets or goals that focus on improving their environmental impacts. However, only thirty-six percent has reported their annual progress towards these goals.” RESEARCH QUESTION In what way is the current sustainability culture influencing the internal structure of large fashion companies, and how could this be intensified? SUB-QUESTIONS 1. In what ways have the rules/legislation internationally, with regard to sustainability, developed over the last 10 years? 2. In what ways has the public opinion internationally on sustainability developed over the last 10 years and how have large fashion companies been responding and adjusting their structure regarding those developments? A SIMPLE STRATEGY FRAMEWORK The strategy framework is based on the research findings. It’s focus lies on identification, measuring and analyzing, and the implementation and enforcement of sustainable goals, rules, and changes that need to be made. The use of different existing reports and set rules and regulations has led to a framework that can be executed by following three steps.
