Samenvatting

Dit product is geschreven in het kader van mijn afstuderen, als onderdeel van het vierde studiejaar van de opleiding Creatieve Therapie, beeldend, aan de Hogeschool Utrecht, te Amersfoort. Dit product is tot stand gekomen naar aanleiding van mijn praktijkonderzoek: “Als je psyche je lichaam ziek maakt” dat ik samen met Zembra Wüstenhoff heb geschreven. Zowel het onderzoek als dit product richt zich op psychosmatische klachten. Psychosomatische klachten zijn lichamelijke klachten die lijken te worden veroorzaakt of verergerd door psychische factoren en niet door een specifieke ziekte.

Dit praktijkproduct bevat een verzameling van beeldend therapeutische oefeningen voor jongeren en volwassenen met psychosomatische klachten. Het doel van dit oefeningenboek is het gebruik van het lichaam in beeldende therapie stimuleren, om de bewustwording van het lichaam bij de cliënt te bevorderen en inzicht te verkrijgen in de wisselwerking tussen lichaam en geest. Het kan ook inzicht geven in welk soort bewegingen de cliënt gebruikt en hoe deze geëxploreerd kunnen worden.

Door het lichaam op een respectvolle, professionele wijze te betrekken bij de behandeling zal de cliënt gelegenheid krijgen om gedurende de behandeling inzicht te krijgen in eigen lichaam en psyche middels beeldend therapeutische oefeningen die de bewustwording van het lichaam en het gebruik maken van het lichaam centraal stellen. De werkvormen, die voornamelijk gebruikt worden in deze oefeningen zijn: het lichaam in beweging brengen, bewegingen exploreren, de wisselwerking tussen lichaam en geest, emoties uiten en tot vormgeving en inzicht komen.

De beeldend therapeutische oefeningen die gebundeld zijn in dit afstudeerproduct bestaan uit warming-up oefeningen, individuele- en samenwerkingsoefeningen. Diverse creatieve technieken komen aan bod.

This thesis product has been written as part of the fourth year to complete the degree of Art Therapy at the Hogeschool Utrecht in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. It came into being alongside the practical research I wrote with Zembra Wüstenhoff, “When your psyche makes your body ill.” The research as well as this product focuses on psychosomatic complaints. These are physical complaints that seem to be caused or intensified by psychic factors and not by a particular disease.

This practice product contains a collection of visual therapeutic exercises for youth and adults with psychosomatic complaints. The goal of this exercise book is to stimulate employing the body in art therapy, in order to further the client’s consciousness of the body and to obtain insight into mind and body work together. It can also give insight into which type of movements the client uses and how these can be explored.

By involving the body in the therapeutic process in a respectful and professional manner, the client will have the opportunity to gain insight into his/her own body and psyche through visual therapeutic exercises that stimulate gaining a consciousness of the body and put the body at the center of the therapy. The work forms that will be mainly utilized in these exercises are: bringing the body in motion, explore movements, the exchange between body and spirit, expressing emotions, and gain development, design and insight.

The visual therapeutic exercises in this thesis product are warming-up exercises, and individual and collaborative exercises. A wide range of creative techniques will be offered.
